Class Objectives /Class Outline |
The objective of this course is to provide students with the foundational knowledge of dental materials, machines, and instruments necessary for oral health care professionals. Lectures will cover the material properties, handling methods, and management of each dental material, the operation of each type of dental machine and instrument, and their effects on living tissues. In addition, by introducing actual clinical treatments, the course will address future directions of dental materials, machines, and instruments in dental care, fostering students' ability to apply this knowledge. The latest research trends, including those related to biomaterials, will also be introduced, and the theory and methods of quality control for various materials used in clinical dentistry will be taught as well. |
