Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This course aims to help students acquire the basic skills of industry and company analysis before starting full-scale job hunting in their third year. The goal is to develop the ability to identify companies that can achieve long-term, stable growth.
Regardless of one’s career motivations or values, choosing a company that maintains stable performance and a sound financial foundation over time is essential for building a secure livelihood and fulfilling professional life. Students should avoid spending their valuable university years on unplanned job hunting based only on superficial company images or name recognition, without clear criteria for evaluation.
In this course, we invite practitioners from leading companies based mainly in the Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu regions—firms that continue to grow steadily in domestic and global markets. Rather than simple company introductions, guest speakers will analyze why their companies have sustained growth, focusing on their history, strategic decisions, unique systems and entry barriers that competitors cannot easily imitate, and organizational capabilities that support their competitive advantage.
