・Toward education, contents and practices related to the secondary education and secondary Japanese language education, being able to plan and organize a research, carry it out effectively, identify problems, think, examine and solve the problems by oneself or working on a group (Research skills).

・With regard to secondary education and Japanese education in secondary education, to be able to effectively summarize research related to education, contents, and practice. Class Objectives

The course aims to deepen students’ expertise in medieval and early-modern Japanese literature, equip them with research methods and writing conventions necessary for preparing a graduation thesis, and enable them to propose new insights within the history of scholarship.

Students will work on drafting and revising one to two chapters of their thesis and on writing the introduction, which involves clarifying the significance of their research and situating it within the scholarly history.
