The objective of this course is (1) to understand the physical and mechanical properties of wood through experiments, and (2) to understand the design and production of products that utilize materials and processing technology in an integrated manner.

Lesson3: Experiment about physical and mechanical properties of wood: Preparing of Experiments.
Lesson4: Experiment about physical and mechanical properties of wood: Carrying out Experiments.
Lesson5: Experiment about physical and mechanical properties of wood: Analysis of the Results of Experiments.
Lesson6: Experiment about physical and mechanical properties of wood: Presentation and Summary.
Lesson7: Case studies on products that utilize materials and processing technology in an integrated manner.
Lesson8: Concept of a product that makes integrated use of materials and processing technology.
Lesson9: Design of a product that makes integrated use of materials and processing technology.
Lesson10: Production of a product that makes integrated use of materials and processing technology: Scribing and cutting.

It is desirable that students prepare and review the lesson in reference to the class schedule.
Lesson 1: Check the syllabus.
Lessons 2 to 6: Confirm the methods of experiment and analysis regarding the physical and mechanical properties of wood.
Lessons 7 to 14: Confirm the knowledge and skills necessary to design and manufacture products that utilize materials and processing technology in an integrated manner.
Lessons 15: Review what you have learned. 
Requirements Students who have already taken "Introduction to Woodworking", "Practice in Teaching Materials for Woodworking I" and "Practice in Teaching Materials for Woodworking Ⅱ". 
Grading Method Students will be comprehensively assessed by behavior in class (15%) and reports (85%).
