This class is a required two-credit course common to the university.
This class provides new students with opportunities to develop their intellectual interests by actively participating in learning activities as well as to promote communication between students, faculty members, and each other, and to help form a learning group. 
Expected OutcomeThe following learning outcomes are expected in conjunction with the foundational university course, 'Introduction to University Education':
1. Understanding university learning methods and developing an independent learning attitude.
2. Cultivating problem-identification skills.
3. Acquiring methods for gathering information, such as literature and materials.
4. Developing logical and critical thinking skills.
5. Developing and improving reading comprehension, expression, presentation and discussion skills.
6. Understanding the social rules for navigating university life.

The goal is to develop the ability to think logically and critically examine one's own thinking based on evidence, as well as the ability to express oneself appropriately in order to address historical and contemporary challenges faced by humanity and society.

No examinations will be given. Students will be asked to submit reports and give presentations as materials for evaluating their learning.

Three classes of the Program for Science Education will be carried out in close cooperation with each other.

Through this class, we would like you to acquire basic knowledge and skills for university study and to establish a self-learning framework in the natural science course of the Faculty of Education.
