I will give lectures on the way of analyzing data obtained by social surveys. The main objective of this class is providing knowledge about the method of summarizing and describing data using statistical models. However, I also offer the basic idea of statistical inference.

In order to establish an understanding of the method of data analysis, it is indispensable to practice many calculation problems. Please purchase text that suits your level and research purpose and repeat training to compute statistics.
If you have difficulty understanding the on-demand materials, in-person explanations will be available on Friday mornings during the first semester. Please make an appointment by email in advance if necessary. 
Requirements Bring your calculator which has a function of square root operation. "Social Statistics Analysis I" and "Introduction to Statistics and Quantitative Sociology" cover the same course content. Students who have already completed "Introduction to Statistics and Quantitative Sociology" should enroll in "Social Statistics Analysis II" in the second term. 
Grading Method In-class assignments: 100%
There will be an assignment for each class session. Please follow the instructions posted on the online learning system (Moodle) and submit your assignment within approximately one week after completing the lesson.
