Class Objectives
/Class Outline Students will understand the function of education in museums and also develop competences to become museum educator, through lecture, practice and discussion, which treat history of museum education, characteristics of learning in museums, actual situation of educational activities in museums, cooperation of museum and school.

Requirements This class is included in curator qualification program (students who enrolled in Heisei 24 academic year and after). In order to fill 3 units of "museum educational theory", it is necessary to learn "Educational thought and principle" (2 units), offered in department of education, 2Year First Semester.

Grading Method Evaluation is decided by the results of following: tasks in class, attitude in class, final report.

December 7 (Sun) (Kawashima), December 14 (Sun) (Miyoshi)
(December 7 is a backup date for exams. If there is a simultaneous class cancellation during the third term exam period, the class will be held on Monday, January 5. Please keep this date open. The classroom for this session will be announced on the Momiji.)
For Kawashima's section, there is a pre-class assignment. Each student must participate in the museum's educational outreach activities before the class. Based on this experience, we plan to conduct group work and prepare a report.

Please fill in the class improvement questionnaire which is carried out on all classes.
