Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Galaxies form in the early Universe and evolve over the cosmic time. This course summarizes properties of galaxies mostly from observational perspectives. Roles of super massive black holes for galaxy evolution as well as recent results from large computer simulations are also discussed.

Class Schedule 1. Observational astronomy
2. Stellar evolution and stellar population synthesis model
3. Galaxies I
4. Galaxies II
5. Galaxy clusters and cosmic large-scale structure
6. Super massive black holes
7. Simulations of galaxy formation and evolution
