The purpose of this class, which focuses on China, is to understand the structure and nature of Asia. We will investigate the problems of Chinese constitutionalism from the first half of the 20 century to the present day, focusing on the perspectives of Western countries and Japan; we will also examine the relationship between the Chinese Central Government and local powers.
