【Goals】 Through intensive Korean language learning, this course aims to equip students with practical and advanced language proficiency, enabling them to communicate information about their specialized fields in Korean. The ultimate goal is for students to serve as a direct bridge between Japanese and Korean society and culture in their respective areas of expertise.
1. Actively utilize today's ICT (Information and Communication Technology), such as the internet, to independently search, use, and disseminate information about Korea. 2. Be able to give simple presentations in Korean to introduce one's specialized field. 3. Through content-based learning, develop the ability to logically express opinions and engage in discussions in Korean on topics such as Japanese-Korean social and cultural comparisons, global issues, and other current affairs. 4. Enhance language awareness and language learning awareness, enabling students to acquire language learning strategies applicable to any foreign language, including English. 5. Aim to pass the "Hangul Proficiency Test Level Pre-2" or "TOPIK II Level 6", certified by the South Korean Ministry of Education and administered domestically by the Korean Education Foundation, upon completion of the program.
【Course Overview】 The fourth term aims to "Compare Social Issues in Japan and Korea!" Each topic in the lesson plan will generally be covered in 1.5 to 2 class sessions. The class will proceed as follows:
1. Text Interpretation: Analyze distributed texts such as newspaper articles, news scripts, Korean high school textbooks, and essays. 2. Discussion: After considering questions and issues related to the text individually, students discuss in pairs or groups. They then present their thoughts or share them via chat with the entire class. 3. Assignments: Complete and submit two writing assignments (including research-based tasks) given during class. - Submission Deadline: Every Thursday by 23:59 on Teams. - Feedback: The instructor will review and return the assignments with corrections before the next class. 4. Sharing and Feedback on Assignments: In the following class, students review the corrections, present their assignments individually, share interpretations, and discuss them as a group. |
