- This course is part of the Korean language program within the "Trilingual Training Special Program," which aims to develop trilingual individuals who can fluently use a third language in addition to their native language and English.
- In an era of multilingual and multicultural coexistence, this course is offered across departments to help students acquire practical language proficiency as part of the foreign language training necessary for highly skilled professionals and researchers active on the international stage.
- This course focuses on enhancing conversational skills in Korean, while also further developing the basic communication skills acquired in the first year.

【Goals】  
Through intensive Korean language learning, this course aims to equip students with practical and advanced language proficiency, enabling them to express their thoughts in Korean and serve as a direct bridge between Japanese and Korean society and culture.  

1. Actively utilize today's ICT (Information and Communication Technology), such as the internet, to independently search, use, and disseminate information in different language spheres.  
2. Through content-based learning, develop the ability to logically express opinions and engage in discussions in Korean on Korean current affairs and social and cultural comparisons between Japan and Korea.  
3. Enhance language awareness and language learning awareness, enabling students to acquire language learning strategies applicable to any foreign language, including English.  

【Course Overview】  
The first term focuses on the goal of "Expressing Yourself in Korean!" Each topic in the lesson plan will generally be covered in 1.5 class sessions. The class structure is as follows:  

1. Text Interpretation: Analyze distributed texts such as newspaper articles, essays, fairy tales, and manga.  
2. Discussion: After considering questions and issues related to the text individually, students discuss in pairs or groups. They then present their thoughts or share them via chat with the entire class.  
3. Analysis of Model Conversations: Analyze conversation texts related to the theme together.  
4. Creating a Conversation Summary: Based on the conversation texts from Step 3, pairs summarize a conversation related to the theme in Japanese.  
5. Assignment: Using the created summary, students write a Korean conversation script and submit it.  
   - Submission Deadline: Every Tuesday by 23:59 on Teams.  
   - Feedback: The instructor will review and return the assignments with corrections before the next class.  
6. Sharing and Feedback on Assignments: In the following class, selected assignments will be shared and analyzed. Then, students review their corrected assignments and discuss them with their partners.

1. Before and after class, thoroughly review and prepare by looking up new vocabulary and checking grammar.
2. Complete and submit assigned tasks within the designated deadline. 
Requirements 1. This course is part of the "Trilingual Training Special Program – Korean." While participation in the program is recommended, students who are not part of the program may also take this course.  
2. Students who have only taken "Basic Korean" in their first year should thoroughly self-study the first-year textbook, Shin Korean e no Tobira, up to the end before the course begins.
3. This course involves frequent pair and group work. Even if you are not familiar with it, do not hesitate—participate actively and confidently. 
Grading Method The overall evaluation will be based on the following criteria:  

- Final Exam: 50%  
- Class Participation (including assignment submission and class attitude): 30%  
- Quizzes: 20%
