Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Students are required to do experiments and measurements related to mechanical engineering field. Through experiments students are supposed to learn further about mechanical engineering and improve skills in data processing, data analysis, and report writing. |
Class Schedule |
Students are divided into groups (usually 10 persons / group) and do experiments as following a prearranged schedule. 1-1: Resonance phenomena and vibration control of a beam 1-2: Position control experiment of trolley 2-1: Impact test 2-2: Metallographic structure and hardness 3-1: Boiling experiment and temperature measurement 3-2: Shock tube |

Suggestions on Preparation and Review |
Students are expected to have read throughout textbook in advance each experiment. |
Requirements |
This course is provided in Japanese. |
Grading Method |
Students must attend all of experiments and submit reports. The score is made by reports (80%) and attitude toward experiments (20%). Scores Letter Grade 100-90% (but no more than 10% of students) S(秀) Excellent 89-80% A(優) Very Good 79-70% B(良) Good 69-60% C(可) Fair BELOW 59% D(不可) Fail |
