Class Objectives /Class Outline |
It is an omnibus lecture given by three instructors. Shimada's lecture aims to provide an overview of the concepts of ordinals and cardinals in set theory. Takahashi's lecture will be on computations concerning algebraic equations and algebraic geometry with computer algebra systems. Kimura's lectures goal is programming of recursive functions. We use Mathematica as the programming language. |
Class Schedule |
In Sessions 1 to 5, Shimada will lecture on the set theory. He will explain the concepts of ordinals and cardinals.
1. Axioms of Set Theory 2. Ordinals and Cardinals 3. The Continuum Hypothesis Sessions 6 to 10 are given by Takahashi, and the topics will include how to use SageMath, solution of algebraic equations, and applications to the study of algebraic varieties. Lectures on the background and demonstrations on examples will be given.
11 Use Mathematica as a calculator 12 Functional Programming 13 Recursive functions (1) 14 Recursive functions (2) 15 Applications |
