Class Objectives
/Class Outline This course aims to provide an overall understanding of the structure of Civil Law and focuses on acquiring fundamental knowledge of the first half of General Provisions. Students will deepen their understanding by organizing and analyzing case law and academic theories related to this section.

Session 2. Fundamentals of Transaction Law, Subjects and Objects of Rights (Property Rights and Claims), Concept of Legal Acts
Session 3. Basic Principles of Civil Law, Exercise of Private Rights and Their Limitations
Session 4. Subjects of Rights and Obligations, Overview of Protection for Those with Limited Capacity to Act
Session 5. Adult Guardianship System, Protection for the Counterparties of Those with Limited Capacity to Act
Session 6. Domicile, Absentee, Declarations of Disappearance, Presumption of Death, Things
Session 7. Review of Understanding
Session 8. Legal Acts, Interpretation of Legal Acts, Manifestations of Intention
Session 9. Mandatory and Optional Provisions, Public Policy
Session 10. Mental Reservation, False Manifestation of Intention (1)
Session 11. False Manifestation of Intention (2)

It is recommended to take this course alongside Civil Law (General Provisions II) for a comprehensive understanding.

Grading Method Final Exam: 90%, Review Assignments: 10%
Students unable to take the final exam must follow the official university procedures to apply for a make-up exam.
