Class Objectives
/Class Outline
To understand what pictorial expression is by examining the various components that make up a painting in terms of the method of expression and painting materials. To acquire the ability to read the artist's intention in a work of art. To acquire knowledge and skills that will be useful for teaching painting expression in the future in educational settings.

There will be no examinations, but all students will give presentations in 14th, and 15th sessions. Each student will be required to prepare a PowerPoint presentation and resume for the presentation.
Students are required to submit a report after each class.

Review of class contents and related works and materials. Direct viewing of artworks at exhibitions.
The 8th, 9th, 14th, and 15th class: Review of class content and preparation for presentation of related works and materials.
15th Preparation, review, and confirmation of class content.

Grading Method Submission of reports after each class
Presentations on the theme in the 8th, 9th, 14th, and 15th classes (the theme will be explained in the class). 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it A faculty member who has experience in creating and exhibiting artworks will lecture on pictorial expression, drawing on that experience. 
Message There is no distinction between good and bad in pictorial expression; each artist's individual view is expressed in the pictures. I will be pleased if the class provides students with an opportunity to acquire their methods of making artwork and the ability to analyze works of art.
