Class Objectives /Class Outline |
The aim of this course is to gain understanding on basics of language development in children and to consider appropriate education for culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) children. Given an increasing number of children growing in multiple languages and cultures, what is necessary for their language growth? What is a necessary education to assure their learning and independence in society. Students are expected to become able to consider these issues based on the course of language development, relationship between bilingual/multilingual and child development and principles of bilingual education. |
