Visiting a Japanese as a Second Language class beforehand will help you better understand the content of the class. 
Requirements It is desirable for students to have taken "Fundamentals of Japanese Language Education" and "Teaching Japanese as a Second Language". Those who wish to become Japanese language instructors should continue to take "Theory of Japanese Language Teaching Techniques" in the year following the completion of this class.
There will be assignments (homework) outside of class. Especially in the first half of the intensive course, there will be a lot of group work, so please adjust your part-time work so that you do not work too much during this period. 
Grading Method Three assignments will be presented in class for evaluation. No final assignment will be given.

Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it The faculty of this class has more than 10 years of experience in Japanese language education and in developing Japanese language textbooks, online teaching materials, etc. In this exercise, we aim to analyze the problems of commercially available teaching materials in teaching various skills of Japanese language, as well as to acquire skills in teaching methods and development of teaching materials aimed at improving communicative competence. 
Message This class is intended for those who want to become Japanese language instructors, Japanese language education majors, and those who want to be involved in or are interested in "Japanese language education as a second/foreign language".

This class includes reading English papers and watching English lectures.
Students need to have the language skills (English or Japanese) to understand university lectures, discuss with classmates, and complete assignments. 
Other Research students and students in other department majors such as English Education who wish to take the course should e-mail the instructor in charge in advance to confirm whether the course is available. If there is space available, the course will be offered.
