Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Students will study the goals and content of Japanese language education in elementary schools from grades 1 to 6 as outlined in the Course of Study, and learn theories and methods of teaching material research. They will learn how to create lesson plans based on various theories for understanding and guiding students, as well as how to analyze lessons, create lesson plans that make use of the teaching materials in each area, and conduct and observe mock lessons, thereby acquiring the basic ability to design lessons that envision specific classroom situations.

Requirements  
Grading Method Short report assignment (lesson plan: 20%), mock lesson assignment (mock lesson practice 20% / self-evaluation / peer evaluation sheet 20%), final report assignment (basic theory on Japanese language teaching / essay based on the curriculum guidelines: 40%), post-class feedback 10%
