You are strongly encouraged to do online search for any unfamiliar technichal terms and reserach methods to deepen your understanding as much as possible. Please bring your inquires to the next class otherwinse. Also, the questions to be discussed in class are welcomed (, yet please do not expect the instructor to give you answers!.)

Requirements 1. Upper-intermediate level of English proficiency might be necessary since students must read and understand professional journals written and carry class discussion in English (approximately over TOEIC 550).
2. Students are strongly recommended to take some linguistic courses (e.g., phonology, syntax, morphology, and pragmatics). Linguistics backgrounds are surely helpful.
3. You are strongly recommended to continuously take Foreign Language Acquisition & Communication II.
