Students are expected to understand the basic ideas and methods used by sociologists. It is important that students familiarize themselves with these basic concepts and theoretical perspectives in sociology by reading the relevant chapters in the required books before and after class. 
Requirements The course has no specific prerequisites.  
Grading Method This course requires a final paper and active class participation.

Message This course is taught by writing on the blackboard instead of using PowerPoint. This helps students to be more engaged in their learning. Students are expected to write the content written on the blackboard in their own notebook. It is not allowed to take a picture of the content written on the blackboard.
