Review
Visit as many museums as possible and observe what the museums do in order to visualize and advertise their activities including exhibition.
Try to make it a custom to consider how to exhibit, store and manage materials. 
Requirements Students who do not meet the requirements below cannot participate in this lecture.
1. Students expecting to graduate from the University in fiscal 2025 who are registered in the program for acquiring curator qualification
2. We determine the number of subjects and the acquisition unit that you should be mastered before to attend the training.
3. Students who will take all the related courses except Practicum in Museum Studies 1 (University Museum) and Practicum in Museum Studies 2 (External Museums to the University) during fiscal 2025.
4. Students who can find a museum which will accept them for Practicum in Museum Studies 2 (External Museums to the University) during summer holidays or other holidays in 2025.
5. Students who take out both of ‘Personal accident insurance for students pursuing education and research’ and ‘Personal liability insurance for students pursuing education and research.’
6. From Tuesday 16 July to Tuesday 20 August, students must submit a statement of reasons for their application of approximately 3,000 characters and a declaration of credit acquisition status for the specific programme of curatorial qualifications (download the prescribed form) in the manner specified on the "MOMIJI" notice board.

The acceptable number of students is 60 at most .
The practicum is scheduled mainly on Saturdays for half a day or one day  for each lesson because this lecture is open to students of all faculties. All the contents are listed on the syllabus and basically will not be changed. If a participant fails to attend one lesson, she/he shall not obtain the credits because alternative lessons are not available. Check the schedule and other items beforehand and make sure to attend all the lessons. Participants should pay the expenses required for the practicum .

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Establishment and operation of a university museum (2006-). Aim for practical curator education through display of materials, preservation of specimen, and commentary on exhibits. 
Message *Guidance will be held twice on Thursday, October 3  and Friday, October 4 (08:45-10:15). Students must attend either of them. The time and place will be posted on the bulletin board, make sure to check it. Students failing to attend the guidance may not take the practicum. Read carefully the requirements for the course.
