Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In this age of intense global competition, Japanese industries expect their future workers not only to discuss logically, have a good command of English, and possess specialized knowledge, but also to have application and design skills and techniques required for product manufacture and service development. This course will help you develop your technical capabilities and communication skills required for actual work by enabling you to undertake work experience at a private business, public institution, or other organization inside or outside Japan.
Class Schedule 1. After consulting with your main academic adviser, you will do your internship. You are expected to spend a minimum of 2 weeks in your internship. However, the internship should not interfere with other important activities, such as attendance at formal courses.
2. After completing your course activities, you will submit to your main academic adviser a credit recognition application, a report stating required information, including a schedule and venue for internship, the name of the host organization and the content of your internship and certificates of internship acceptance and completion issued by the host organization.
3. You will give a presentation on your internship at a presentation session for your degree program.
4. You will be evaluated in terms of various factors, including the content of your presentation at a presentation session, the content of your discussions, goal achievement levels in academic activities and research, and the actual results of your internship. Credit recognition depends on the evaluation results.
