The objective of this lecture is to learn the theoretical basis and analytical methods of the environmental behavior and risk analysis of trace toxic chemicals.
Also, the basic physics chemistry for water environmental science is learned. 
Class Schedule 1 What is "risk"?
2. Risk of chemicals on human
2.1 Hazards of chemicals on human bodies
2.2 Dose-response analysis
3. Environmental behaviors and human exposure of chemicals
3.1 Emission and dispersion to air, water, and soil environments
3.2 Basic processes in environments
  (1) Solid-liquid-gas partition
  (2) Biological decomposition
  (3) Photolytic processes
4. Risk analysis
4.1 Determination of endpoint
4.2 Risk against a group
4.3 Ecological risk analysis
5. Case study of several representative chemicals
5.1 Chloroform
5.2 Dioxins
5.3 Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
Basic chemistry for water environments:

1. Acid and base
2. Oxidation and reduction
3. Very basic of  quantum chemistry

Several small assignments and one major assignment are planned.

For all the lectures, the basic chemistry should be studied. Video contents are included (Delivered at the first session). The video should be watched in advance. 
Requirements Guidance is held on the first session. Therefore, the attendence at the first session is a prerequisite.
