Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Heat transfer is a key technology in design of energy device and chemical plant. In this lecture, heat transfer in solid and flow field will be introduced by explaining basic equations on energy balance, and solving related problems. Overview of conduction, convection, free convection, heat transfer with change of phase (boiling and condensation), heat exchangers and radiation will be discussed. |
Class Schedule |
Lesson 1: Guidance and Introduction of Conduction Lesson 2: Introduction of Convection and Radiation Lesson 3: Conduction: Free Electron and Phonon Lesson 4: Steady-State Conduction Lesson 5: Conduction from Fin Lesson 6: Two-Dimensional, Steady-State Conduction and Finite-Difference Equation Lesson 7: Transient Conduction Lesson 8: Convection and Boundary Layers Lesson 9: Convection: External Flow Lesson 10: Convection: Internal Flow Lesson 11: Free Convection Lesson 12: Boiling Lesson 13: Condensation Lesson 14: Heat Exchangers Lesson 15: Radiation
