Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This class aims at practical exercise for research with expertise and originality in selected themes in elementary particle physics, nuclear physics, astrophysics, astronomy, solid state physics, and/or synchrotron radiation sciences.  The goals include skills to collect scientific information, to make and correct research plans, to make use of scientific devices, to analyze data, to communicate with researchers in different fields, and to write abstracts and papers.

Class Schedule This class is a seminar style exercise to obtain common abilities and skills for physics research.  Students are to make research plans based on up-to-date information, to discuss how to convey their results to people in other fields, and to learn how to proceed with
advanced research.  Students are grouped into several classes to ensure opportunities of presentations.  The materials to be treated depend on each class, while the objective and goals are the same in all classes.  This class works on condensed matter physics.
