Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This class aims at obtaining expertise, wide views, and expression skills in various fields of physics, utilizing academic papers on elementary particle physics, nuclear physics, astrophysics, astronomy, solid state physics, and/or synchrotron radiation sciences.  The goals include skills to collect scientific information, to resolve problems, and to communicate with researchers in different fields.

Class Schedule An introduction of how to gather information on advanced research in physics fields is given.  Students are to select and read academic papers, give a presentation to audiences not only in the same field but also in other fields, and discuss in the class.  Students are grouped into several classes to ensure opportunities of presentations. The field to be treated depends on each class, while the objective and goals are the same in all classes.  This class handles papers on quark physics.
