In this seminar, students are expected to build the basic structure for their doctoral dissertations. To this end, the class provides opportunities for presentations and discussion based on the students' topics, as well as the necessary knowledge and skills for a research design.

In every class, a student or two will be assigned to give presentations. Other students must prepare questions on reading materials.   
Requirements  
Grading Method Assessment will be based on presentation and contribution to discussion at the seminar.

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it The instructor has worked for the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations as an advisor (legal expert) and her experience will provide knowledge about daily practice at the UN.
