Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Lectures and discussions will be held on a wide range of themes and topics covered by the sociology of education, with course content structured according to the interests of the participants. The aim is to understand sociological theories, concepts and research methods, and to acquire the ability to use them to discuss real educational phenomena from multiple perspectives. Specifically, the course aims to achieve the following objectives. (1) Understand and explain the theories and concepts of sociology of education. (2) Understand and explain the research methods of sociology of education. 3) To be able to discuss real-life educational phenomena using the concepts, theories and research methods of the sociology of education. |

Students are also encouraged to deepen their understanding of each theme by reading literature and materials related to the themes introduced during the lectures.
