In education for children with hearing impairments, a psychological evaluation will be conducted in addition to a hearing evaluation. This class will explain how to conduct those tests, how to interpret the test results, and the prospects for future development of those tests. It is expected that students will deepen understanding of educational counseling for children with hearing impairments.

lesson 1: Through the simulated experience, deepen the understanding of the difficulties in life caused by hearing impairment.
lesson 2-8: Familiarize yourself with general hearing test methods.
lesson 9-10: Familiarize yourself with the method of assessing language ability.
lesson: 11-15: Deepen understanding of teaching practice of hearing impairment education. 
Requirements It is desirable that student will have a basic knowledge of psychology and physiology of hearing impairment, and education for deaf and hard of hearing children. 
Grading Method Students to be comprehensively assessed by approach in seminars and assignments, assignment achievement level (30%), participation in discussions (35%) and the completion level of reports (35%).
