Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Based on the understanding of the literature and teaching practices regarding educational contents and methods in Japan as well as other countries, this course explores various ways of education. With a focus on music curricula, the course provides an opportunity to understand the sequence of subject matter, as well as construction of lessons and teaching methods, through the analysis of textbooks and teachers' guides, thereby developing expertise in art education. By examining today's teaching practice in music, this course also explores the means for improving teaching music and activities by reviewing teaching plans and contents. |
