Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Students understand the objectives and develop competencies required as s science teacher from multiple perspectives, and acquire knowledge and skills to continuously engage in educational research involving presentation at conferences and publishing papers through relating a history and methods of science education to basic principles of science education. For this purpose, students set research subjects/questions on secondary science education. For solving research subjects/questions, students engage in investigation work, such as reviewing prior researches, argumentation, and empirical and practical studies. Through these activities, students will develop knowledge and skills to organize science curriculum, design lessons, and assess children. Then, students can develop the literacy to participate conferences and publish papers. In this lecture, students learn the basic principles of science education and teacher education with historical and comparative approaches. |
