The aims of this course are to (1) help students deepen the understanding of today's issues surrounding special needs education through the collection, organization and analysis of materials related to special needs education, (2) help students have the knowledge required to explore special needs education through the presentations and discussions on measures to solve those issues.

Lesson 4-6: Consider the difference of curriculum management surrounding special needs education among the country.
Lesson 7-9: Consider active, interactive, and deep learning who have special educational needs.
Lesson 10-12: Consider reasonable accommodation for whom with special educational needs.
Lesson 13-15: Consider the future prospective of special needs education.

Grading Method Students to be comprehensively assessed by work status and completion level of developed resumes. 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Based on the lecturer's experience as a speech-language pathologist in the U.S., the lecture will give students how the special education systems are different between Japan and the U.S., and how to work with students who have learning disabilities and other related disabilities.
