Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The main goal of this course is to provide a hands-on introduction to empirical research, while reading topics related to public economics, public good provision, and development economics. We will discuss research articles and learn about the techniques used in them. The midterm evaluation will be based on a replication exercise: I will provide data from a paper, and you have to replicate the main results. The final evaluation will consist on preparing a research proposal.

Basic microeconomics and statistics knowledge are recommended. Students need to complete the assigned readings before class. Stata or other statistical software is required for the midterm.
