The objective of this course is to master the basic idea of statistics and the method of data management for empirical research. For this purpose, this course practices a PC programming software such as Matlab. 
Class Schedule Statistical items in (1) to (9) below are presented and discussed.
You will also learn how to program using Matlab in (11) to (14) below.
(1) Introduction to statistics

(3) Probability and probability distribution
(4) Uniform and normal distributions
(5) Statistical significance and mean estimates
(6) t distribution and chi-square distribution
(7) Hypothesis testing
(8) Correlation analysis
(9) Regression analysis
(10) Exam on Statistics
(11) The basics of working with Matlab
(12) Matrix computation by Matlab
(13) Managing data with Matlab
(14) Computation of maxima and minima by Matlab and implementation of regressive analyses

Review is important to master PC software and programming. 
Requirements The enrollment of this course is restricted to students whose thesis is under my supervision. 
Grading Method Grade is determined by the test of statistical knowledge and the test that confirm the level of Matlab acquisition. The contribution of each test to the grade is 50%.
