The analysis of excavated material from the Kusado-Sengencho site (Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture) is taken up as a specific case study to show how the results of excavations can be positioned in the local community and to clarify the role of medieval archaeology in historical research.

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it The lecturer has experience in large-scale archaeological excavation and reporting projects. Lectures will be given on the methods to make research results from the analysis of excavated materials.
