Students will learn geographical research methods from a broad perspective that goes beyond the devision  of human and physical geography. Details will be provided in class.

Graduate students will give presentations on their individual research findings, helping the other attendees understand their research and through discussions, cultivating a high degree of skill in geographic research. A professor working in a related field of geography will attend along with other graduate students, and there will be discussions held around a broad perspective that transcends the limits of human and physical geography. The class is designed to teach students advanced levels of presentation skills, and how to ask and respond to questions, to the level of giving presentations at societies and research conferences. The professor will provide guidance and advice on the presentation of each student’s research findings from a variety of perspectives, and help students reach advanced levels of research skills.
