Class Objectives
/Class Outline In this class, we will learn about the relationships between literature and the environment through “ecocriticism” or “ecological criticism.” The course introduces historical background, literary terms, and critical approaches relating to ecocriticism. We will explore literary texts through ecocritical lenses such as toxic discourse, ecofeminism, and environmental justice.
