Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Students will understand how Chinese literary works entered Japan and penetrated the Japanese people. Specifically, we will examine what kind of poems the Chinese Tang Period's poet Du Fu wrote, how they were received in China, when they were introduced to Japan, and how they were read and penetrated by the Japanese people. In the class, themes will be set based on Du Fu's works, and hold group discussions to deepen students' understanding of kanji culture. |
