Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This class aims to deepen the expertise in the research field of each program, to understand research of different fields, and to train researchers to be capable of fusing and linking them. Students will prepare plans for collaboration and integration of comprehensive and analyzed research trends in different research fields, collaborating and integrating it with their own research fields, and understanding the methodology experientially. Students will present the created plan to related researchers who are experienced in discussion and consideration, thereby acquiring the ability to advance research and development in collaboration with researchers and engineers in different fields.
Class Schedule Lesson 1 Outline explanation
Lesson 2 Presentation of research outcomes in each field and discussion (Biotechnology)
Lesson 3 Presentation of research outcomes in each field and discussion (Food and AgriLife Science)
Lesson 4 Presentation of research outcomes in each field and discussion (Bioresource Science)
Lesson 5 Presentation of research outcomes in each field and discussion (Life and Environmental Sciences)
Lesson 6 Presentation of research outcomes in each field and discussion (Basic Biology)
Lesson 7 Presentation of research outcomes in each field and discussion (Mathematical and Life Sciences)
Lesson 8 Presentation of research outcomes in each field and discussion (Biomedical Science)
Lesson 9 Presentation of research plan coordinated and integrated with other fields and discussion (Biotechnology)
Lesson 10 Presentation of research plan coordinated and integrated with other fields and discussion (Food and AgriLife Science)

Lesson 14 Presentation of research plan coordinated and integrated with other fields and discussion (Mathematical and Life Sciences)
Lesson 15 Presentation of research plan coordinated and integrated with other fields and discussion (Biomedical Science), General discussion

※Students will present their own research (such as master course thesis and future plans) at the first round (Lessons 2-8) and discuss the presentation of others. In the second round (Lessons 9-15), students will incorporate opinions from researchers in other fields, discuss research topics cooperating and fuse together and discuss them.

※Slides should be prepared in English. Presentation will be set for 15 minutes, but adjust according to the number of students. Until a designated day, students need to prepare a movie (MP4) file of their research plan and upload it on Stream.

※Designate two questioners per presentation. Using the chat function of Microsoft Teams, the presenters and questioners will ask and answer questions about the presentation.

※Presentation schedule will be announced in early April. If you wish to make a presentation on a day different from the above-mentioned scheduled date, please contact the instructor before opening the course.
