The aim of this seminar is to conduct practical exercises to have research activities with expertise and originality concerning the research theme selected in relation to life science. Especially, this seminar focuses on flexible introduction or development of different field research with emphasis on expertise, without regard to existing research methods. Specifically, Students will acquire the abilities to collect informations, create and modify research plan, utilize scientific instruments, analyze data and communicate and present with different field researchers, which are necessary for research activities.

2: Practical use of scientific instruments: basic principle and measurement object
3: practical use of scientific instruments: requirement and procedure
4: Research plan 1: motivation setting and validity
5: Research plan 2: design of experimental system to achieve purpose
6: Research plan 3: verification of experimental system and assumption of expected results
7: Information collection 1: survey of related research articles and its arrangement
8: Information collection 2: investigation of recent trends and introduction to the theme
9: Information collection 3: clarification of difference between related research and the theme, and pursuit of originality
10: Data analysis 1: understanding the principle and problems of method
11: Data analysis 2: selection of method suitable for purpose
12: Communication with different field researchers: how to communicate in their specialty fields
13: Presentation: exhibition of graphs and extraction of necessary information
14: Discussion on how to write a summary and how to convey points
15: Conclusion, advice to apply to each research theme
