Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This course focuses on recent progresses in various aspects of modern biological and life scienes. Students who register in this class have to participate the discussion or conduct presentation concerning their own research subjects. The students are also requested to read the scientific papers that appear in leading journals for introducing their contents. Eventually, students will gain the abilities for logical and critical thinking in science. 
Class Schedule Lessons 1 through 15: The course consists of oral presentation of a research paper, progress report on the thesis research project, and discussion.

Review
For seminar participation, each student should be prepared to contribute individually to the seminar discussion. All students are requested to read and study the recent original papers that appear in leading journals as homework. 
Requirements  
Grading Method Students will be evaluated based upon the presentation (50%), contribution (40%), and participation (10%) in the class. Grading distribution: score 90-100%, Excellent (S); score 80-89%, very good (A); score 79-70%, good (B); score 60-69%, Fair (C); below 59%, fail (D).
