Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Interdisciplinary approach (physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and bacteriology) is used to understand mechanisms of environmental stress tolerance in higher plants as well as improve plant productivity under environmental stress conditions. To achieve this goal, genetically modified plants are generated by introducing useful genes isolated from wild plant species and/or functions of environmental microbes (such as plant growth promoting rhizobacteria) are utilized to improve plant productivity.
Class Schedule Participants study how to design scientific projects, how to conduct experiments, how to analyze results obtained, and how to present the data.
