Student can get competence to extract problems of agriculture and fisheries in Japan by field work, and to solve them with analyzing from socio-economic view point. 
Class Schedule In order to extract problems of agriculture and fisheries concretely,
We will study about
1) researching rural situations by field work,
2) reporting the result of research in our seminar,
3) examining the solution about each problem by discussion,
4) making summery of each discussion and considering about the method to solve each problem.
The examples of research fields that you can take are followings,
1) Ini village in Akiota town (one of the 100 selections of Japan's terrace paddy fields)
2) Yutaka town in Kure city (the famous producing area of "Ocho Mikan" mandarins)
3) Shiraki town and Numata town in Hiroshima city (the urban agricultural area in Hiroshima)
4) Sera town (establishing network by agriculture-related activities)
5) Setoda town (the famous producing area of "Setoda Mikan" mandarins)
6) Osakikamijima town (famous for accepting educational trips with rural experiences)
7) Mirasaka town in Miyoshi city (producing rural commodities by domestic cooperation in this town)
8) And others.
