The course is designed for graduate students to develop the skills necessary to successfully deliver poster and oral presentations. We will also cover all steps of publishing a paper from writing the first draft through to checking the final proofs.

(More Details) Lectures will be given using PowerPoint with some video content. Students will use PowerPoint or a similar program to create a poster and an oral presentation. Examples of writing a paper will be given using Word, EndNote (references), and R (statistics).

Review
Students should be comfortable presenting in English (reading prepared text is fine) and should have access to a computer with PowerPoint and Word, but any needed skills will be taught during the class.

Grading Method We will evaluate this course based on completion of written and oral assignments as well as participation in class discussions.
