Students will be able to prepare for the practice of genetic counseling. Students will be able to prepare a fact sheet, explain the genetic form and listen to a family tree for hereditary diseases. These will enable students to learn about and practice basic attitudes toward genetic counseling.

Hereditary diseases will be presented as a theme. Students will prepare a fact sheet on the subject disease (no more than 4 A4 pages). A revised fact sheet must be submitted after the completion of the role play. We plan to request several mock patient meetings in Genetic Counseling Exercise II.
