Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The following are the undergraduate student's achievement goals and training methods. Based on what they have learned in the nursing education special course, students understand how to understand students' readiness and give instructions so that they can practice effectively. Learn how to teach in nursing clinical practice through this instruction.
<Course description>
This course is placed as chronic stage nursing in the Adult Nursing series. Apply all theories, concept, pathophysiologies, nursing care skills studied at classes to clinical practicum.
Through this clinical practice, students achieve all objectives listed below, and acquire professional nursing attitude and ethics necessary for practicing at clinical sites throughout the professional life.
<Objectives>
During this clinical practicum, the students will be able to;
1. Apply health assessment skills and assess patients comprehensively.
2. Apply Nursing Diagnosis and make nursing care plans to deal with/resolve health problems.
3. Provide nursing care based on the plans and evaluate them.
4. Acquire skills of practicing Nursing Process through #1 to #3.
5. Learn professional communication skills with patients and in the healthcare team.
6. Report and presen 
Class Schedule Details are written in the student course guidebook.
Practice site: Hiroshima University Hospital. Floors are assigned prior to the clinical practice.
Ways of practice: Students will take one to two cases(patients) with chronic diseases and/or cancer in charge as a primary care nurse.
Case discussion and case conference:
Teachers and clinical preceptors daily check your assessment, care plans, and implementation of nursing care, and advise you.
The first case conference will be held in the middle of the first week, then final case conference will be on the last day of the course.
Daily reports of practice.
Case presentations with written case reports will be requested in the first week and end of this course.

Listed in the student clinical practice guidebook. 
Requirements Students who will be doing the practical training in Japanese will be taught in Japanese, and students who will be doing the practical training in English will be taught in English. However, since the students to be supervised are primarily Japanese-speaking and the clinical site is in Japanese, it is desirable that they understand Japanese. 
Grading Method Evaluation will be based on performance of clinical teaching and attitude. 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Has clinical experience as a nurse, administrative experience (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare), and experience in a venture company. It is possible to provide research guidance that makes use of these experiences.
