Class Objectives /Class Outline |
The program “Practice of Medical Research” aims to give medical students an opportunity to experience scientific research so that they will become doctors with a scientific sense who fully understand medical research. Medical research in this program includes experiments using cells, animals and biomaterials, studies based on mathematical modeling and medical-engineering collaboration, and research in social medicine. Clinical bedside learning is not included in this program. Through this practice, students communicate with their instructors, learn about background of research and the planning and implementation of experiments. It is important for the students to experience the process of medical research; it is not necessarily the goal of the program to obtain positive results. |
