Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Students find out biologically important questions about oral and brain functions, design the research projects, construct the experimental strategies, and investigate the molecular, cellular, and system mechanisms underlying those physiological functions. |
Class Schedule |
lesson1: Introduction of recent topics on oral and brain functions lesson2: Introduction of materials, methods and experimental strategies for science research lesson3: Literature search and reading to find out biologically important questions lesson4: Experimental planning lesson5: Experiments and discussion lesson6: Experiments and discussion lesson7: Experiments and discussion lesson8: Experiments and discussion lesson9: Experiments and discussion lesson10: Experiments and discussion lesson11: Experiments and discussion lesson12: Experiments and discussion lesson13: Experiments and discussion lesson14: Experiments and discussion lesson15: Oral presentatoin and reports
Students study the function and dysfunction of the systems of taste sensing, salivary secretion, mastication, swallowing, feeding control, emotion, and so forth by exploring their molecular and cellular mechanisms, their physiological relevance, and their pathophysiological aspects caused by functional deficits of specific molecules. |
