Hiroshima University, established in the city that experienced the atomic-bombing, puts up the banner of spirit of seeking peace. In this course, with bearing in mind of the perspective of "Hiroshima and Peace" and the gap between ideals and realities, we will contemplate the issues such as peace-keeping/building, economy, environment, development, science, human rights, gender, civil society, and narratives; and explore the ideal state of peace and approaches to achieve it through critical thinking.
