Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The problem-finding and problem-solving process for uncovering unnoticed needs and finding new opportunities for solving those needs, based on observation of actual clinical situations, is divided into the following three steps: (1) identification of the problem, (2) thorough investigation of existing solutions, (3) methods for leading to innovative solutions, and (4) creation of new value that is socially meaningful. The curriculum consists of methods, which are learned systematically and experientially.
In Introduction to Biodesign AI, emphasis will be placed on (1) and (2).

In principle, classes are conducted online (on-demand); however, depending on the content and other factors, separate notification will be made when classes are conducted online (simultaneous interactive) or in person. In the case of online (simultaneous interactive) or face-to-face classes, a recording of the class content will be made available online (on-demand) at a later date, so that students who are unable to attend will not be disadvantaged.
Homework and assignments will be provided via e-mail or in each lecture.
